The bird life around Morepork Lodge changes with the seasons but there are always plenty of birds to see. We haven't actually seen any Kiwi but we do hear them occasionally at night! Keep a look out for these birds and make use of the binoculars in your room. |

Fantail Cheeky little birds who will follow you around our native bush. |

Anzac (Alpaca) Named because he was born on ANZAC day, when Kiwi's remember our fallen soldiers. |
TimTam (Alpaca) Named after a favourite NZ biscuit. Ask us about a delicious 'TimTam-Slam'. |
Panpoot (Burmese) Pooty is sometimes a little timid at first but he's gentle and enjoys a pat once he gets to know you. He is NOT allowed in the guest rooms! |
