Our home was designed by its original owners and perfected by a local architect.They wanted a welcoming home with extensive use of local timber and lots of space! Our lounge has a huge bay window (pictured right) that allows expansive river, bush and rural views. On winter nights we like to toast yummy marshmallows around the open fire. But you’ll have to share the fire with our timid gentle cat, Panpoot. Unfortunately for him, he’s never allowed in the Guest rooms! Our dining room has a large New Zealand Kauri table on which to enjoy your breakfasts and, if you wish, an evening meal. Our large water tank collects rain water which is then filtered & UV sterilised for your peace of mind. Large covered decks, out from the Riverview & Waitangi rooms and Kitchen, provide shaded outdoor relaxing and dining. The Bottle Brush tree by the BBQ deck is home to various small birds and a pair of Tui.
