Farmers' Market and the tasty Bakehouse.
The Kerikeri region
is reknown for it's confectionery, cheese, orchards and vineyards. It's also home to the oldest stone building in New Zealand. (14 minutes by car)

by car, stop off at the Omata winery. (approx 40mins by car via Opua or 15mins from Paihia on the passenger ferry)

main street. A tourist train runs regularly during the summer months. Visit the famous Hundertwasser Toilets and
stop for a coffee at our favourite café, The Trainspotter Café. (20 minutes by car)

90 Mile Beach & Cape Reinga |
Take a day trip up to the top of New Zealand (Cape Reinga) and slide
down the sand dunes at 90 Mile Beach. Stop on your way at Gumdiggers' Park or The Ancient Kauri Kingdom. If you're after an experience of a lifetime - try Salt Air's amazing tourist flight (best booked when you're up here and can assess the weather conditions).
